Windows default font and CS2
I have CS2 running on a PC with the CRT running at 1280x1024. With the
default font settings text under icons, etc, is much too small,
on-screen. Setting the font to custion 125% (from memory) works
nicely for me.
When I go into CS2 and look at a form panel such as File Info, text in
user typable fields is much larger than the vertical space CS2 thinks
it needs, by about half. The lower half of the text is chopped off.
Any suggestions?

This recently was discussed in one of the Adobe forums. A brief
quote:
The problem should only be present when using an old "Windows Classic"
theme
while also setting the monitor resolution to "Large 120dpi". Until we
can provide
a fix, the only solution is to either use a standard Windows XP theme
or use
the "Normal 96dpi" resolution setting.

Using an XP theme would be kind of hard since it's an W2K machine :-)
TNX. At least I know it's not a menu choice that is right in front of
me, which is usually what happens when I have a question like this.

FWIW XP does not have this issue, I use hi res and large fonts and PS menus
look fine
Long time no see Al D>> it may be time for an upgrade
win 2k is so inferior to XP it's not even a comparison
you have old software you need on 2k?
if not treat yourself to a new OS
not ready to get Vista just yet myself
will wait a while until more drivers are available and kinks worked out
you say you changed the font only manually? have you tried the overall
change using the properties>appearance for the entire display at the default
"large font setting" in the drop down??

Thanks. I see stuff in the Appearance panel I never noticed before.
As far as W2K goes, I use XP on any machine its on. W2K does
everything I need to do and I can't, offhand, think of anything that
would push me to XP unless some driver wasn't available in W2K. I use
or work on too many machines to get religious about any OS later than
W98/NT4. When you know them well enough, they all s*ck. just in
different ways.
I'll deal with Vista when I have to, but no sooner. Unless I need to
use something like PS, my default is some flavor of Unix.
