Merging two videos into one (side by side)
Hi everyone,
I have two videos that I would like to merge into one by having the videos
appear side-by-side. Video and audio A would be on the left and Video and
audio B on the right. I can live with the black band at the top and bottom
of the screen (I do not want to distort the images).
Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this?
Thanks in advance for your help

Vegas Video can do it.

Just a BarnDoor type transition at 50% with a moving path to keep the ratio
right should work

Re: Merging two videos into one (side by side)
Chollima posted this message when I was
trying to burn 4 images, side by side. It
worked perfectly. I hope it works for you
for 2 images, but like you said, there will
be some border, or maybe half the screen

re: four mpegs in one window:
You can do this in Media Studio Pro.
1. Insert your first video file on the second timeline (not the
FX/Transition timeline) in Media Studio.
2. Go to the "Production Library" and select "Moving Path" and then
"Picture in Picture". Select the style (location) you want and click
on it. While holding the mouse button down, drag and drop it on the
video file on the second timeline. A "Moving Path" dialog will open.
3. Repeat step 2 with your other 3 video files selecting a different
location each time.
4. You will want to delete all the sound files with your videos or it
will sound like trash. Click on each video file to select it, then
right click and select the "Split" menu item. This will detach the
audio from the video. Now select the coorsponding audio file and
delete it. You can add a sound file of your choice.
I've attached a small test file to show you the results. You can
position the video anywhere you want.
