How to put an image onto a model object
Hi all,
Yes I am new to 3D Studio or should I say have been away from the
package for some time and need refreshing.
I am simply trying to put a bitmap image onto tha face of an object. I
have managed to import a .jpg into the Material Editor but can not
work out how to assign it to an object.
I read somewhere to use the blend but it is not giving me the image
straight onto the object.
Can anyone help me.
By the way I am using 3D Studio 4.2 (old I know but its all I have). I
assume that the principles will be the same in 3D Studio 5 and 6.
Thanks in advanced
Graham

Re: How to put an image onto a model object
Hi Paul,
Thanks for that. I have been playing with the UVW setting but with no
luck. Can you please tell me step by step through the process. I would
really appreciate it.
Thanks
Graham

Re: How to put an image onto a model object
Have you looked in your Max help file? Try searching for 'material editor',
'designing materials' (workflow described there) or 'show map in viewport
button'... It should clear things out.
