There is a script in the fxfoundry set of filters that deals with red eye. guldahl-red-eye - you can get the set (only 250KB) from http://gimpfx-foundry.sourceforge.net/ personally I don't think its any better than the regular filter, but then I only need this function very occasionally. Unless you have a lot of images to process I would go for a manual solution - see: http://www.gimp.org/tutorials/Red_Eye_Removal/ If you have the pspi plugin for photoshop .8bf plugs installed, then the red eye filter from alphaplugins works (just) http://www.alphaplugins.com supposed to be free. -- rich |

| Thank You very much Rich for the prompt reply and for the links that you sent me. I have now learnt a lot and managed to correct two group shots . I used the Filters-enhance -Redeye removal method and I found the best way was to do it eye by eye--quite a laborious job. But very effective--- Much appreciated, Richard On Sun, 24 Aug 2008 12:12:20 GMT, rich <rich@nohome.com> wrote: >On Sun, 24 Aug 2008 11:33:49 +0200, Richard Oliver wrote: > >> Running Gimp 2.4.4 and have tried the Redeye removal feature ( not too >> much success ) but have not been able to find any other plug-in. The way that I found to work the best for me is to use Colorize. This works especially well for brown eyes. |

Especialy the one about the 'brown eye'. (Sorry, childish, I know) houghi -- Always listen to experts. They'll tell you what can't be done, and why. Then do it. -- Heinlein : Time Enough For Love |
