Why don't wireless keyboards have pointing device?
Laptop keyboards usually don't have a mouse, they have a trackball or other
pointing device integrated into the keyboard.
So why don't wireless keyboards do the same? I want to put my computer in
my TV stand and use a monitor to both watch TV and do computer work, so the
keyboard will be in my lap usually where a mouse won't be exactly
convenient. I know of no major manufacturer that provides a wireless
keyboard with integrated pointing device, and can't figure out why not.
Can anyone enlighten me?

I have a lite-on IR wireless keyboard that has a small, inch tall
"moustick" (kinda like a joystick), which works great even for
clicking small icons. In win98 you can rig the numpad arrow keys to
function as a mouse, but they're extremely slow and hard to use, and I
don't know if you can do the same in XP. Wireless mice dont'exactly
need a lot of space to function, if you have a large armrest or if
you're on a couch and have space beside you it'll work fine, or you
could go for a wireless trackball mouse, which will work great and can
stay stationary.
