Best PCI graphics card?

  1. Default Best PCI graphics card?

I bought a Dell 2400 last month thinking I could throw all my
components into it only to find that Dell does not include AGP slots
on their value line motherboards (grrr!). Because the new system sat
in it's box for over a month while I took care of other things, I
can't even return it and am stuck using it. Since I'm using an old
Ti4200 anyway I figure I might as well upgrade my video card but can't
figure out what was the last PCI card that sat on the top of the heap
before nVidia and ATI stopped manufacturing PCI solutions. I don't
really play games anymore so I'm not concerned with running the latest
and greatest FPS to hit the market, but I do want to get my hands on
what would be considered the fastest PCI card before they disappear. I
may not need the horsepower, but I figure WTF, it'll probably be super
    cheap anyway.

    Any suggestions of card models?

I recently purchased a low end AGP card by VisionTek under their Xtasy
name (128mb ATI9200SE) but noticed they had a PCI version of the same
card. Should do you fine (it was $40 after rebate).

You might also want to check out Jaton. No personal experience with
this company, but they specialize in PCI vid cards, sort of a niche
marketer. I think that there are several 3rd parties that use ATI and
    nVidia chipsets for PCI cards.
