  1. Default FIC K8-800T motherboard for 64 bit cpu's, is it good ?

I just tried installing the FIC K8-800T mobo in my existing case
yesterday. It was my FIRST time upgrading a mobo, so it definitely
could have been my error. However, is there a good chance that a FIC
mobo was defective ? Please let me know. Thanks for your time !

Hi Steve, No windows will run correctly on a new Mother Board. It does
not have the correct drivers for the MB. Win 98 will boot up with lots
of complaints and will straighten out if you load the correct drives
and reload Win 98 over itself. I'm not real sure about later versions
of Windows, but a buddy did the same with XP and it would not boot at
all. He had to call MS to get "permission" to load XP to a "New"
    computer. Luck, Jim
