Acer Aspire cursor problem - Hardware

could it be that you're inadvertently touching the touch pad with your palm
as you type? i had that same problem until i disabled the touch pad because
i added a mouse in its place. i have a Thinkpad T41 and there's a setting
to disable the touch pad.
