| Hello everyone! About 3 years ago I bought a Toshiba satellite m35x-s161 laptop. (Celeron M350, 1.3 GHz, 512 MB RAM, 60GB hard drive) About 4 months ago I developed the following problem: When I turn it on, the main power indicator lights up as well as the little power indicator in front of the laptop, I hear the fan for about 6 seconds, then it goes silent and lights still remains on but nothing comes on the screen, not even the options like F2 or press F11 for BIOS optios. I continue seeing the lights that indicates it is on and the light of the battery, amber if it not charged or turn green if I let it charge. That’s all I get, it won’t boot up. I placed a boot up cd in the cd tray to see if I could boot it up that way to no avail. I carefully removed the LCD and checked the connection. I connected a crt monitor to see if it was the laptop LCD (I made sure I pressed the Fn+F5 to change display mode) to no avail. I did let the battery charge until light turned green. I removed hard drive, memory, battery and placed it back making sure it was connected right. I let it sat on for about 4 hours to see if maybe it would start loading but nothing happened. I turned on without battery to no avail Any suggestions in the subject? Regards, Kathy |
