Outlook + Cyrus imap/pop3 +sasl - IMAP

Hello,

I am trying to setup an cyrus imap/pop3 server for use with outlook. The
server works fine and was tested e.g. with pine for pop3 and imap access.
Unfortunately it is not possible to access the mailboxes with Outlook.

What I use:

saslauthd 2.1.19
cyrus-imapd 2.2.8-6.5
with suse 9.2

with configs:
/etc/imapd.conf:
sasl_pwcheck_method: saslauthd [...]

/etc/sysconfig/saslauthd:
SASLAUTHD_AUTHMECH=pam

I think there are problem with the authentication procedure. It seems that
Outlook does not supports pam?!? I've read somewhere that outlook needs a
login procedure. But how to enable that feature?
