| Hi, I'm managing an email servers postfix+courier-imap, and i would like to have an off site mirror of it, which purpose is to serve as a webmail with roundcube. Do some one know a way to have all accounts synchronized, mails, read/delete flags, etc, in almost real time ? The two servers are separated by internet, onsite one should be master... I'm not very sure that imap is the best way to do it. Any help is welcome ![]() Have a nice week! |

The only way to do it would be with some kind of a distributed filesystem. AFS comes to mind, but that one is rather difficult to set up. There's no good way to do this purely in application software. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) iEYEABECAAYFAkhNDlQACgkQx9p3GYHlUOIkjgCfUUfHkyXlW2 OqX5NwnHK/NTCN uCgAn1dzUvNeCKEWGn7pbXNKkYmPawaM =tzBM -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |

Cyrus supports replication, though it won't do all of the jobs that you listed. I know nothing about Macs and their software but do use this on Linux to mirror my FastMail IMAP account to a local directory: http://software.complete.org/softwar...ow/offlineimap -- Stephen Chadfield |
