Why is SMTP-Server queuing "other domain" mail but not local Domain mail?

  1. Default Why is SMTP-Server queuing "other domain" mail but not local Domain mail?

I recently firmed up the security on a fully functioning mail server: My
clients and my host are now using SPA and SMTP authentication. (please
    advise if this is best)

Why would my Win2003 SMTP server now queue and not send mail that is
destined for domains not listed within the POP3 Service? BUT works 100% for
    mail that is!

And lastly another query, in SMTP-Virtual
Server/Properties/Access/Authentication can I disable Annoymous access and
simply keep (selected) "Intergrated Windows Authentication"...... Ive never
really understood this strange contradiction, the annotation refers to a
"resource" which resource is it reffering to? Relay is dealt with
elsewhere... so whats it on about?

This NG is dead!! And I know why!

Gave up on Win2003 its crap and doesnt work, glad it was free! Now installed
XP-Pro and using the most amazing freeware www.mailenable.com It is in a
word "blinding" that is blindingly simple but blindingly functional. It took
less than 5 minutes to set up a full blown SMTP/POP solution and a lovely
    simple interface.

No pitch, just have a go for yourself and see what can be done. My only
concern with the freeware is that theres no SPA, but then I dont really know
what SPA is. But unlike 2003 it doesnt come relay enabled! And the help file
on relaying isnt a contradiction in terms. In fact I installed it on a
client as an emergency when 2003 completely lost the plot. I just copied the
files over to my new server "ahem XP" and there it all was. None of this
command line crap from MS. Migration twaddle rubbish nonsense.
