"No space left on device" error : Inetserver
This is a discussion on "No space left on device" error within the Inetserver forums in Microsoft Tools category; Windows 2003 + IIS6. I get this error if I try to create a txt file with a PHP script. Obviously the site has plenty of hard disk space. Which kind of permission should I assing to website folder to be sure it's not a write auth issue? Many thanks. -fabio...

| Hi Fabio, Are you seeing any event viewer errors (security)? They should help narrow down auth issues. If you're not seeing any errors make sure failure audits are set on the partition(s) - in windows explorer, right click the partition (c: for example), choose properties, security tab, advanced button, auditing tab. If there are no entries there, click 'add', everyone. Then check the bop box for 'failed' and it should check all the failed boxes. Try reproducing your issue again and see if anything is logged in security EV. The next step I would take after that is running File Monitor to see what is going on at the file level. -- Rick Barber http://www.orcsweb.com Managed Complex Hosting #1 in Service and Support "Fabio Gava" <esa_ud@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:OIgWF1APIHA.484@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... > Windows 2003 + IIS6. > I get this error if I try to create a txt file with a PHP script. > Obviously the site has plenty of hard disk space. > > Which kind of permission should I assing to website folder to be sure it's > not a write auth issue? > > Many thanks. > > -fabio > > > |
