| Hello, The main navigation tree in IIS Manager for IIS 7 lists Sites and Application Pools but there is no longer a node for Web Service Extensions. Nor is there anything about web service extensions in the Features View, the Content View, or the Actions Pane. Nothing about it in Help either. This seems like a huge change with apparently no supporting documentation or guidance. I have no idea what to do. Any help would be appreciated. -- Thanks |

CGI support is not installed by default. Web Service Extension is still there and only relevant for unlocking ISAPI Extensions and CGI functionality. Since it depends on features not installed by default, it is also not installed by default. But rest assured, it is still there. The huge change is the default feature and configuration of IIS7, which is well documented. However, the dependencies and downstream effects of each Feature is often not obvious to any casual user reading documentation, which is fine. //David http://w3-4u.blogspot.com http://blogs.msdn.com/David.Wang // |
