IIS on a domain controller

This is a discussion on IIS on a domain controller within the Inetserver forums in Microsoft Tools category; I have an issue where after my domain controller is rebooted IIS starts prior to AD authentication being available resulting in the IUSR and IWAM accounts not having any privileges preventing my application pools from functioning. Does anyone know a workaround for this besides performing an IIReset?...

Default IIS on a domain controller

I have an issue where after my domain controller is rebooted IIS starts prior
to AD authentication being available resulting in the IUSR and IWAM accounts
not having any privileges preventing my application pools from functioning.
Does anyone know a workaround for this besides performing an IIReset?

How do you have IUSR and IWAM user accounts if it's a DC ???

Local accounts are locked if you have a DC on a machine!

The accounts are created as domain users and are stored in AD under the Users
container.

IUSR_computername and IWAM_computername (as a matter of fact, any ID running
the AppPool) are suppose to be local machine accounts as well probably for
the purpose of solving your problem...

Sorry having said that wouldn't solve your problem any better .. but IIS on
DC is usually a tough choice...
