Main user folder

This is a discussion on Main user folder within the Inetserver forums in Microsoft Tools category; Hello! Is is possible to configure active directory (Windows Server 2003 R2) in a way that if a user logs onto FTP he sees a configured folder directly instead of the home directory with all it's user folders? Thanks in advance!...

Default Main user folder

Hello!

Is is possible to configure active directory (Windows Server 2003 R2) in a
way that if a user logs onto FTP he sees a configured folder directly
instead of the home directory with all it's user folders?

Thanks in advance!

Do you want the user to direct to its home folder or the root?
Are you using AD integrated or what mode of the user isolation?

in the case of root - I think you can create a vdir with the same account
name, then point it to the root. also need to ensure the user has READ
permission at the path.
