Create .lsb file with Microsoft Visual C++ 5.0 Express
The National Instruments has a nice tutorial on how to create a .lsb file using Microsoft Visual C++ 5.0 "not Express" in a topic titled "How to build a CIN code resource (.lsb file)" for Win32 platforms. This step by step tutorial tells how to produce the project and set the Project Settings. I attempted to follow those instructions using Microsoft Visual C++ 5 Express. The project settings, is under Project preferences in the Express version and does not allow all of the options that MS VC++ 5.0 does. Has anyone produced a .lsb file using the MS Visual C++ Express ? If so do you have the step by step instructions similar to "How to build a CIN code resource (.lsb file)" ?
Thank You
Greg

Re: Create .lsb file with Microsoft Visual C++ 5.0 Express
Hey Megahall,
Thank you for National Instruments. I have been trying to locate some documentation that may help you out, but so far I have turned up nothing. I do have a couple of questions for you.
1) Is there any reason you have chosen to build a lsb file, and use the CIN node in LabVIEW? It may be easier to create a dll, and use the Call Library Function node.
2) What version of Microsoft Visual Studio are you using?
3) I want to clarify that you are using "Microsoft Visual C++ 5.0 Express." I have not been able to locate much information at all on this version of MVC++.
I look forward to hearing back from you.
Regards,
Kevin H
