Ok, so I'm supposed to program the furnace so it will cool the sample at a certain rate, such as 20 degrees C/minute. Is this even possible? I don't know how LabView could control the cooling. I'm guessing it would consist of outputting 0 voltage but it seems impossible to cool at a linear rate. <a href="http://www.researchinc.com/control_930_935.asp" target="_blank"> http://www.researchinc.com/control_930_935.asp</a> ^^Controller<a href="http://www.researchinc.com/chamber_E4.asp" target="_blank">http://www.researchinc.com/chamber_E4.asp</a> ^^Furnace<a href="http://www.researchinc.com/coolir.asp" target="_blank">http://www.researchinc.com/coolir.asp</a> ^^Cooling systemThanks

Well, I thought it was a new topic since it wasn't about timing anymore. Sorry.

You're dealing with the same system, and the other thread contains important information. In fact, you are talking about timing, since you're talking about rate. If you really want to start a new thread please reference the other thread so people know this has been discussed before, and can see what relevant information may be there. You should also make a note in the other thread that the discussion has been moved, so people don't try to discuss things in 2 different places.
