Hi Chris, when do you get this error message? If you start the MAX? Did you try to reinstall all. Start with LabView. Install the driver for your GPIB device before connecting it.  Hope it helps.Mike

I get this message as I drag the I/O assistant onto the block diagram.  It tries to initiate itself with the status bar the status bar goes all the way and then I recieve the message.  Also I'll right click the I/O assistant to access the properties and I  get this message right away.  I did install all the drivers first in fact I upgraded my 488.2 to V 2.5 last night after my post.  I really need to figure this out!!!

Hi Cauchman, This might be a problem with the LabVIEW VI's that were installed.  Check this directory: C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.1\vi.lib\express\source.  You should have two folders with I/O assistant VI's and llb's.  If you don't have this folder, or even if you do you might want to delete them and reinstall them from the LabVIEW CD.  If you don't have the CD I might be able to send you the files.  Thanks and sorry for the delayed response.
