list as array

This is a discussion on list as array within the logo forums in Programming Languages category; Hello, I like to be able to call a number based on multiple variables. For example, when 3 variables are considered, [1,1,1] => 1 [1,2,4] => 3 [2,3,1] => 2 [1,4,3] => 3 etc. So if I input 1,2,4, I like to obtain 3. If I were programming in another language, I may use 3 dimentioanl array and store the output numbers in appropriate locations of the array, or use hash or something. In NetLogo, is there any way to do thing like this? Thank you. Phidippus...

Default list as array

Hello,

I like to be able to call a number based on multiple variables.

For example, when 3 variables are considered,

[1,1,1] => 1
[1,2,4] => 3
[2,3,1] => 2
[1,4,3] => 3

etc. So if I input 1,2,4, I like to obtain 3. If I were programming in
another language, I may use 3 dimentioanl array and store the output
numbers in appropriate locations of the array, or use hash or
something. In NetLogo, is there any way to do thing like this?
Thank you.
