| No error message. If I copy a localhost URL that is displaying in IE, paste it into Firefox and hit enter, the only thing that happens is that the cross icon displays red for a second. The URL continues to show in the address bar but the currently displayed page doesn't change. Sounds like no-one has the same problem so I'll try digging around my system. Thanks for your time. |

Check that your hosts file is still OK. -- David Powers, Adobe Community Expert Author, "The Essential Guide to Dreamweaver CS3" (friends of ED) Author, "PHP Solutions" (friends of ED) http://foundationphp.com/ |

| Thanks Dave that's a clue albeit in reverse. Around the same time I installed Apache I successfully ditched Norton 360 (after downloading the uninstall application and praying etc!) and installed Kaspersky Anti-Virus. So it might be a Norton legacy or a Kaspersky feature! However, it seems specific to Firefox as my server works fine with Dreamweaver and IE displays all my local host files. |
