How can I get drawn AP Divs to lock onto the page?
Hi,
I prefer using the "Draw AP Div" option as opposed to the "Insert AP Div"
option due to the flexibility I get. But after I finish making my layout using
drawn AP Divs I want them to "lock onto the page" like how inserted Divs are.
How can I archive this?
Thanks for taking the time to help this noob.

>>I want them to "lock onto the page"
AP divs are located relative to their nearest positioned parent container.
If that is not crystal clear to you, I strongly suggest you abandon the
general use of AP Divs as they are rarely a viable layout device for general
purposes. If you did understand my first sentence, you may understand AP &
Positioning, in general, enough to use them somewhat more than the average
bear.

Re: How can I get drawn AP Divs to lock onto the page?
Either method will produce the same mess on the page.
AP Divs are ALWAYS 'locked on the page' since they are absolutely
positioned, whether inserted or drawn. If you are having trouble with a
layout, first always make sure that your code validates here -
http://validator.w3.org. Then when it validates, if you are still having
problems post a link to the uploaded page here so we can see the problem
happen, and look at the code on the page.

Re: How can I get drawn AP Divs to lock onto the page?
Actually what I'm asking is this:
After positioning my drawn AP Divs on a page I want to not be able to move them using my mouse. Just like how I can't just select an inserted AP Div and move it.

I can select and move an Inserted AP Div in DW8. What version are you
using?

Re: How can I get drawn AP Divs to lock onto the page?
I believe OP is trying to move an inserted <div> that is not positioned.

That would make sense. And by that I don't mean using Layers makes sense.

Re: How can I get drawn AP Divs to lock onto the page?
Whether it's inserted or drawn, an AP element can always be moved by the
mouse. If it's an element that is NOT absolutely positioned it cannot be
moved with the mouse. It's as simple as that.
