| As I promised a few month ago and since running the "new" CS4 product... "I will keep the thread alive until Adobe will do something about it WITHOUT charging for an upgrade. we need a fix for what we all paid for!!!" to all of you prostrated Clients, Users, Costumers, keep this post alive and don't give up or just don't purchase any upgrades until Adobe fixes main bugs and issues like slow performance (specifically on Mac) and buggy brush and earaser tools (yes i know there is a workaround, but it is a WORKAROUND not as the tool need to work). |

| I have Fireworks 8 as well and I noticed when Fireworks 8 was open and I opened Fireworks CS3 then the paint would work fine. The minute I closed Fireworks 8, CS3 slowed down again. Turns out Fireworks 8 forces the machine into compatability Mode. You DON'T need to turn off Aero. All you need to do is Right Click C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Fireworks CS3\fireworks.exe and go to Properties. Choose Compatability Tab Tick the box that says Run this program in compatability for Windows XP SP2 You don't need to tick the Disable Desktop composition or anything. Aero desktop still runs. I am not sure why people are surprised about Adobe's lack of a patch. I have been installing Adobe products in a large network environment for 15 years and I have never ever had a time when they ran the way they should without at least one or two hacks. |
