| I'm trying to learn FW a little bit as I hear it is better for making web pages then Photoshop. I was trying to use one of the Photoshop Live Effects though on an object, but I am a bit confused about one thing. If I do the Live Effect pattern overlay I can see to change the opacity and scale but no where to change the pattern being used. The same goes for the Gradient overlay where I see the Opacity, Style, Scale and Angle, but no where to change the colors. Am I missing something or is there a toolbar that should be open but is not? |

The PS Live filters are more of a maintenance feature than a creative tool. Although the Stroke effect is very handy on masked bitmaps. You can certainly apply any of the filters, but the real control still remains in Photoshop. I guess the thinking being that the reasons to use them in the first place is that the file will end up back in Photoshop, or you've received a PS file and don't want those effects to be discarded or flattened. -- Jim Babbage - .:Community MX:. & .:Adobe Community Expert:. http://www.communityMX.com/ CommunityMX - Free Resources: http://www.communitymx.com/free.cfm --- .:Adobe Community Expert for Fireworks:.
