Why are my slices messing up my entire latour

This is a discussion on Why are my slices messing up my entire latour within the Macromedia Fireworks forums in Adobe Tools category; I am creating hom page that has links to other department pages. I am trying to make each of the 5 buttons have a rollover to a brighter color. The buttons however are aranged randomly to fit into a picture of our companies store. I know how to make a rolloer for one but as soon as I create another slice when I preview I am getting white space inserted into the page making it look very distorted. If anyone knows what I am doing wrong your advice is appreciated. Thanks...
