Default Problem inserting Fireworks HTML in Dreamweaver CS3

My software: FIREWORKS CS3, DREAMWEAVER CS3
Platform: Mac OS 10.5
I created a header which includes menu, saved it as a .png file and then
exported it as a .htm file. When I drop it into Dreamweaver (insert > image
objects > fireworks html), the image has the dreaded grey box with the broken
icon as if the chain is broken. I went back to Dreamweaver and rebuilt the
cache...I even deleted the previous version of the png file, renamed it and
tried again. I used these settings: EXPORT HTML and Images, Export HTML File,
Export Slices, and put images in the subfolder, IMAGES.
Can someone tell me what the most common cause of this might be so I can
troubleshoot? MANY THANKS!!

PLEASE IGNORE THIS POST. I discovered shortly after posting this problem, that I had failed to select the WEB LAYER. That would account for why I wasn't see the slices. Thanks
