Hi guys. I have a pop up box that loads when a button is pressed. Within the pop up box I have placed a small swf file from the library. But when I preview this I only get a black outline where the swf file should be. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Is the movie in your library, and is the linkage set up to export for actionscript? Right click on the item in your library and select Linkage and check the this is checked. Remember that you have to reference the movie by it's Linkage ID, not symbol name. Unless you already have the item on the stage in the swf, in that case, you may have a stop in it before it can play. Sometimes it's a simple thing ![]()

When I place the swf file in the frame do I need to add action script to it in order for it to play?
