Individual fonts not recognized properly when opening aMAC FLA file on PC

This is a discussion on Individual fonts not recognized properly when opening aMAC FLA file on PC within the Macromedia Flash forums in Adobe Tools category; I'm getting a missing font warning when opening an FLA file even though I have all the necessary fonts. The problem is that while I have MyriadPro-Bold, MyriadPro-BoldIt, MyriadPro-Semibold on my machine, they only show up in Flash as the Typeface names of Myriad Pro (first two), and Myriad Pro Light (last one). I don't want to have to go through an entire file and apply bold and italics to anywhere they exist, so I'm hoping there is a way to map these properly. Adobe Type Manager shows all these fonts properly when I open it, so I don't understand ...

Default Individual fonts not recognized properly when opening aMAC FLA file on PC

I'm getting a missing font warning when opening an FLA file even though I have
all the necessary fonts. The problem is that while I have MyriadPro-Bold,
MyriadPro-BoldIt, MyriadPro-Semibold on my machine, they only show up in Flash
as the Typeface names of Myriad Pro (first two), and Myriad Pro Light (last
one).

I don't want to have to go through an entire file and apply bold and italics
to anywhere they exist, so I'm hoping there is a way to map these properly.
Adobe Type Manager shows all these fonts properly when I open it, so I don't
understand why Adobe's version of Flash can only see the font family and not
the individual fonts.

Hopefully someone out there has had the same problem and can help me figure
this out.
