eliminating 'the big white box ' on load

This is a discussion on eliminating 'the big white box ' on load within the Macromedia Flash forums in Adobe Tools category; In the second or two before my flash page appears with normal preloader etc, the size of the flash element is always shown a s a big white box over the surrounding black page...my background color is set to black on both the flash and html page containing it and I try to leave first frame clear of elements that would slow load...is there an easy fix for this unsightly hiccup to my intro?...

Try to set the flash window at "transparent, windowless" at the HTML tab in export options.
