Header - Message ID

This is a discussion on Header - Message ID within the Microsoft Exchange forums in Microsoft Tools category; I have an internal naming convention of ".private" and an external dns space of ".ca" and recently, messages have been getting blocked because the message-id shows the ".private" domain. I have Windows 2000 SP3 and Exchange 2000 SP3 installed. Is there anyway to edit the message-ID without changing the name of the domain/server? Thanks, Jeremy....
