Changing user default global address book

  1. Default Changing user default global address book

In Exchange 2003 Server I created few Global Address Books with difference
filtering rules and granted rights to difference user group accordingly, how
could I change the Outlook user's default GAB and point to the one that has
rights to access? Outlook users must not see other GAB in the address books
    which have not given rights.

    Thanks

    Hi,

This can be done by changing a key in the registry on the users workstations
(this is a setting in the users messaging profile). Requires some scripting
knowledge but I have seen it done.

If you are not using a hosting solution this is going to be kind of
difficult. You can modify the users msExchUseOAB attribute and populate that
with the DN of the OAB that you want them to download. This attribute will
override the default from the information store that the user resides on.
