Expansion server performance question

  1. Default Expansion server performance question

For sending mail to DLs should the expansion server be local to the sender
    or to the recipients?.
In the case of a user in locA sending to a DL where all the users are in
locB, should the expansion server be in locA or locB?
Is the expanded list sent back to the sender's exchange server to route the
    message irrespective?

    Thanks,

    GJ

The destination, but are you sure you even need one? Are you sure that
users at B won't return the favour by blasting at users in A?
