Recover Hard Deleted Email from Tape

  1. Default Recover Hard Deleted Email from Tape

I am trying to recover an email which I assume by the way the user
works was hard deleted on exchange 2003. The mailbox store is set to
keep deleted emails for 30 days. I have restored the mailbox to the
recovery storage group and used exmerge to export to their mailbox.
When i go to deleted items and click recover deleted items there is not
even one email. When you export from the recovery storage store to the
users mailbox would I expect to be able to use the recover deleted
items in outlook? Any Ideas how I might be able to get this email back?

    Many Thanks

when you run exmerge against a restored mailbox, selecting "Items from
dumpster" in "Options", it puts those items back where they were hard
deleted from...if they were hard deleted from the Inbox, they will be back
    in the inbox...
