Double emails! Why? : Microsoft Exchange
This is a discussion on Double emails! Why? within the Microsoft Exchange forums in Microsoft Tools category; We are using outlook 2000 and exchange 2000. I have outlook 2000 set up with both and exchange email account and an external email account. When sending an email to both an external recipient email account and a local email account, the external recipient receives duplicate emails from me. Outlook 2000 sends the message to the exchange 2000 server, which sends the email to the external recipient, plus it sends the email to the external email account which in return deliveries the email to the external recipient email account as well. | We are using outlook 2000 and exchange 2000. I have outlook 2000 set up with both and exchange email account and an external email account. Outlook 2000 sends the message to the exchange 2000 server, which sends the email to the external recipient, plus it sends the email to the external email account which in return deliveries the email to the external recipient email account as well. | The problem most likely has to do with the fact that you have 2 information services in your profile (Internet email and Exchange ) that support the SMTP address space. Ths is not supported by MS see MSKB http://support.microsoft.com/default...&Product=out2K .. While this KB doesn;t cover your exact problem, you'll see your configuration does cause problems and the KB states the config is not supported.
