Default Double emails! Why?

We are using outlook 2000 and exchange 2000.

I have outlook 2000 set up with both and exchange email
account and an external email account.

When sending an email to both an external recipient email
account and a local email account, the external recipient
receives duplicate emails from me.

Outlook 2000 sends the message to the exchange 2000
server, which sends the email to the external recipient,
plus it sends the email to the external email account
which in return deliveries the email to the external
recipient email account as well.

If I send an email to just a external recipient they
receive only one email.

Can anyone help?

Default Re: Double emails! Why?

The problem most likely has to do with the fact that you have 2 information
services in your profile (Internet email and Exchange ) that support the
SMTP address space. Ths is not supported by MS see MSKB
http://support.microsoft.com/default...&Product=out2K
.. While this KB doesn;t cover your exact problem, you'll see your
configuration does cause problems and the KB states the config is not
supported.
