OWA and Outlook Issue
I am experiencing a problem with both OWA and Outlook
connecting to an Exchange server in a DMZ. We have a
Sonicwall Pro 100 and I've opened Port 80 into the DMZ. I
have opened the appropriate ports from the DMZ to the
LAN. I am experiencing major performance problems with
both OWA and Outlook. Outlook clients connect to the DMZ
from the LAN, and OWA clients connect from the WAN.
With OWA, I experience major delays before the mailbox
actually loads in my web browser - the wait can be as long
as 5 minutes. On the LAN side, the Outlook clients
experience intermittent delays in accessing the Exchange
server. When the client experiences one of these delays,
Outlook 2002 pops up with a dialog box "Requesting
Information from Exchange Server." I have opened all
ports from the DMZ into the LAN to test for connectivity
issues and we are experiencing the same behavior. I have
completed Pings, and RPC Ping diagnostics and everything
checks out.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem might
be? I've read and followed several technet articles, but
the problem still remains.
