Remote users unable to connect to Exchange 2k server from Outlook - Microsoft Exchange
This is a discussion on Remote users unable to connect to Exchange 2k server from Outlook - Microsoft Exchange ; We have recently discovered an issue with connecting to
the exchange 2000 server.
Users on the same network as the serve are able to

Remote users unable to connect to Exchange 2k server from Outlook
We have recently discovered an issue with connecting to
the exchange 2000 server.
Users on the same network as the serve are able to
connect without any problems to the exchange server using
Outlook.
Users attempting to connect to the same Exchange 2K
server via the internet are not able to connect to the
server through Outlook but are able to use OWA to connect
to the server. During mailbox configuration for and
exchange account in Outlook, Outlook will resolve the
name of the server and the username (when you click
on "Check Name"), but will not connect to the server.
