Just ran exmerge to export to pst. (server crash!!!)

Problem:
Have japanese users. When the mailbox is exported the japanese chars in the
subject are jarbled. i.e. non jap chars. Email content in jap is ok though..

Using OWA subjects are ok, although when I open the exported pst I get the
problem above...

Been onto Exch PSS and they rekon its the client machine accessing the pst
needs jap locale installing.... I tried this but still doesnt work. I think
the PST is screwed when exmerge exports it. Does exmerge support jap chars
in subjects?

Any pointers? I'm out of ideas..
