Subject: Bla bla bla Sendt: 01.01.2004 The following recipient did not get reached. username@domain.com 01.01.2004 An SMTP - communicationproblem whit the recipient e-mail server. Contact the system administrator. <servername.domain.com #5.5.0 smtp;554 Transaction failed> After i get the message in retrun, i go in to Exchagne System Manager and Message Tracking Center to se where it went. Here i can se the message was SMTP: Message Submitted to categorizer, SMTP started outbound transfer of message, and last SMTP: Non-Deliverd Report (NDR) Generated. I tryed to send to the same recipiant with an another e-mail that i have, on an different location and different domain and server. Here i can send to that recipiant and recive e-mail from him. So why do i get this NDR message on my first domain? Regards -AA- |

| Hello, See 300171 Receiving 5.5.0 Non-Delivery Reports from Specific Domains Only http://support.microsoft.com/?id=300171 and 300580 Cannot send e-mail messages to a growing list of domains http://support.microsoft.com/?id=300580. In a nutshell make sure the sending domain has a valid PTR record and that the sending domain is not on any block lists. Try telnet on Port 25 and drop a message to the problem domain and you may get more information after the RCPT TO: command. See 153119 XFOR: Telnet to Port 25 to Test SMTP Communication http://support.microsoft.com/?id=153119 for how to telnet on Port 25. -- Jeremy Gazjuk Microsoft PSS EMS - XCON Team This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
