two domains, one server and OWA
Please help with this.
I have one server for two businesses. One has had exchange based mail for a
while. OWA works great and everything is perfect. Today I integrated in
the other business. We setup their domain in recepient policy and in AD and
changed over their MX record. All worked great. Only thing is nobody from
the newly created domain group can check webmail. I know it has something
to do with Exchange Virtual Server. I went in and added secondgroup.com to
a new virtual directory but I am now stuck. TIA.

Re: two domains, one server and OWA
I have read through this and I think I am on the right track but still I
can't get this support document to work.
Maybe a little more explanation and you guys can tell me what I have done
wrong. First I have one domain working great with OWA no problems. I add
another domain companyb.com. I update the recepient policy to reflect
companyb.com and then I do not make the change for all recepients. Next I
setup their mail and they started receiving e-mail. From here on I went to
work on OWA. I did some of the things that the Q article said to do. I
created a new virutal directory. When I did this it created a new directory
in IIS. Only thing is that it created the path to M where as the exchange
directory in IIS is to exchange exchsrvr directory. Now for the working
company I go to x.x.x.x and it redirects me to x.x.x.x\exchange. Should the
new company be x.x.x.x\companyb.com or x.x.x.x\companyb.
Thanks guys I am really confused.

Re: two domains, one server and OWA
Hi,
The URL is described in the article:
This name will appear in the URL that is used by clients to access the new
virtual directory. For example, if you create a new virtual directory named
companybmail, clients will use a URL that is similar to
http://www.domain.com/companybmail/.

Re: two domains, one server and OWA
I had the same problem.
It looks that the employees of the new company must have two mails, one
@alfa.com and another @beta.com
Than you must set the the primary mail of the new company to be @beta.com,
and when they enter webmail they go the beta mailbox
That worked for me without creating any virtual directory
