System attendant does not start

  1. Default System attendant does not start

With MS Exchnange 2000, the system attendant, the
information store does not start and some other services,
it connects with the domain controller(another server,
Windows 2000) first, then and it cannot connect with the
domain controller because the domain controller is not
responding ? all the SP are applied for exchange 2000 and
windows server 2000. It worked fine before we did change
the Admin passwords and changed the internal adresses of
our servers. Oour exchange server 2000 is not
functionning now and we are down, if you have any clue,
    please help.

    Thanks

    Hi,

You write that you changed the admin password which shouldn't matter as all
exchange 2000 services run in the content of local system account. You all
write that you changed the IP addresses, are you sure that the exchange
server can find the domain controller on its new address. Have you tried to
ping the DC by name to see what happens??

Yes I did, and we have found that the problem was the
    policies settings on the server.

Thanks for your help and reply.
