Other users folders in outlook

  1. Default Other users folders in outlook

I am a little stumped, we are running exchange 2000 with
service pack 3 on a windows 2000 server with service pack
4, in outlook we have permissions set so we can see other
calendar but at the same time we can see others inbox but
the permissions in outlook are set to none. are there
permission in exchange that I need to set so you can see
others calendar but not there inbox? Help

  2. Default Re: Other users folders in outlook

Check in ADUC on the server to see if anyone set permissions on the
individual mailboxes or the store itself (this does not happen by default) -
server permissions are all or nothing at all, and always trump the
permissions set in Outlook - if you can see more than you explicitly shared
    in Outlook, this is why.

    http://support.microsoft.com/default...B;en-us;262054 explains how
to grant service account access to all mailboxes in Exchange on the server -
take a look carefully at all the locations where this could be set. Sounds
like a group may have been added that shouldn't have been. Again, be VERY
    careful with what you modify.
