Outlook & exchange password confusion

  1. Default Outlook & exchange password confusion

after a blackout, an XP pc running outlook 2002 refused
to connect to an exchange server on a 2000 server. It
keeps asking for a u & p on the domain, and once entered
the correct info, it error blocks me telling me the u,p &
domain are incorrect. I have changed the user domain
password and still no luck. I tried to change it on the
outlook side aswell, but tells me the information is
incorrect. i have now deleted the domain account and
started fresh, but even with fresh info it gives me the
same error. Has anybody hit this brickwall before?
Short of reformatting the entire pc and still have the
probability of hitting the same wall, please show me the
    way.
    thanks in advance
    Dono

    Hi,

Try to delete/recreate the outlook profile on the workstation.
