| Hello all, thank you in advance for taking the time to respond. Here is my scenario, have a third party who's contacts we list in our Exchange 2003 Global Address Book. We now would like to give those individuals the ability to access certain public folders on our exchange server. How would you advise we accomplish this? My original plan was to setup up an account an give them Web Access. This caused a couple issues. I had to delete the contact we had created for them, create a new user so that they could authenticate, set the email address to their third party domain address. When sending mail to the user, the mail was delivered to the user account on our mail server, not redirected to the third party domain as I thought it would. Suggestions please? -- Mike |

If they need access to your PFs, they need a mailbox. If they have a mailbox, you'll need to set it up with another e-mail address - then you can set up forwarding in the mailbox properties to send a copy of all mail to the AD contact. Note that the exchange2000 groups don't get much traffic nowadays - best to post in microsoft.public.exchange.* - MS is moving away from version-specific groups for server products. Just make sure to include all your version/SP details when you post. |
