| I am using Money 2007 - I just upgraded from 2005 and now I can't view any reports. When I go to load a report I get the quick pie chart thing that fills in, then it says loading and the work loading never leaves the screen. I never get my report. -- Thank you |

In XP, go to Internet Explorer and delete your browser temporary files with In IE6, Tools->InternetOptions->DeleteFiles. In IE7,Tools->InternetOptions->Delete->DeleteFiles. Then in Money do File->RepairMoneyFile->QuickFileRepair for good measure. If that does not do it, consider File->RepairMoneyFile->StandardFileRepair level 1. |

| Thanks for your response. I have read this in an earlier post and tried it , it did not work. I also read where if you add an new item in cash flow , it brings the reports back, which I tried and it works but whenever I close Money and reopen Back I cannot view any reports untlil I add another item in cashflow. I am using Vista Business and the update went all OK. any ideas I appreciate it. Thanks and have a nice weekend. -- Thank you "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > In microsoft.public.money, webshare wrote: > > >I am using Money 2007 - I just upgraded from 2005 and now I can't view any > >reports. Ooh. Be sure that your Money and backup files are moved to a spot that you will have full privileges to, such as Documents/MyDocuments. If they are in a place like ProgramFiles, Vista will create an impermanent copy of the file for the user to use, unless the user explicitly right-clicks at launch and choose RunAsAdministrator that time. Check that the SSL2 protocol is enabled. That checkbox may be in IE Tools->InternetOptions->Advanced. Right-click the Money icon and choose RunAsAdmistrator to let updates happen. Then reboot the computer. Check that the Money 2007 version is 16.0.*.1303. > >Thanks and have a nice weekend. > >-- >Thank you > > >"Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > >> In microsoft.public.money, webshare wrote: >> >> >I am using Money 2007 - I just upgraded from 2005 and now I can't view any >> >reports. | Cal, I'm experiencing the same problem with reports. I've tried each of your suggestions and the level2 file repair appears to work. But then after I close and reopen Money, the problem appears again. When I run the lvl2 repair, the log reports: "No broken records in the original file." This is truly frustrating. Any assistance would be appriciated... -Art Young "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > In microsoft.public.money, webshare wrote: > > >Thanks for your response. > >I have read this in an earlier post and tried it , it did not work. > >I also read where if you add an new item in cash flow , it brings the > >reports back, which I tried and it works but whenever I close Money and > >reopen Back I cannot view any reports untlil I add another item in cashflow. > > > >I am using Vista Business and the update went all OK. > >any ideas I appreciate it. > > Ooh. > > Be sure that your Money and backup files are moved to a spot that > you will have full privileges to, such as Documents/MyDocuments. > If they are in a place like ProgramFiles, Vista will create an > impermanent copy of the file for the user to use, unless the user > explicitly right-clicks at launch and choose RunAsAdministrator > that time. > > Check that the SSL2 protocol is enabled. | It may not (almost certainly will not) provide any short term relief, but I suggest you open a support case directly with Microsoft. They need to see issues like this occasionally to appreciate that there are still things like this in their code. | I don't recall from this thread, did you try resetting the reports? Tools - Settings - Report Settings - Reset -Mark "TeamPointArt" <TeamPointArt@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:4BB8AF72-1919-4F56-A5A0-881A636A2F0D@microsoft.com... > Cal, > > I'm experiencing the same problem with reports. | Yep, I have tried that, although I didn't indicate in my first post. -- Art Young "Mark" wrote: > I don't recall from this thread, did you try resetting the reports? > > Tools - Settings - Report Settings - Reset > > -Mark > > > "TeamPointArt" <TeamPointArt@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:4BB8AF72-1919-4F56-A5A0-881A636A2F0D@microsoft.com... > > Cal, > > > > I'm experiencing the same problem with reports. | Already been that route, all I get from them is to export all my accounts and import them into a new file. Thx for the response... -- Art Young "Dick Watson" wrote: > It may not (almost certainly will not) provide any short term relief, but I > suggest you open a support case directly with Microsoft. | My work-a-round...... when the screen is stuck showing "loading" go to report customize and make some change and change it right back. Click on "apply" and the report always shows for me. Then you can click "OK". -- Kent Eureka, CA |
