| I am using Money 2008 Home & Business and used it earlier today with no problem and closed the application properly. Then I tried to open the same file later in the day and was told my password was incorrect. I did not change my password and I have been using the same password for 10 years. Another strange thing is the screen where I am entering my password does not have the normal check box to sign into Money directly without access to all online services. Does anyone know what is going on here or having the same problem and then resolved it? -- Neil |

I would reboot the computer and try again. You might consider doing a File->Restore of your latest backup. If you do, don't take the default location. Instead Browse to your MyDocuments folder and pick a new name. That way you will not overwrite the existing file. You could also try a repair of the *.mny file that you are having a problem with. |

| Appreciate your response and I am using a backup but I am concerned as to why it happened so I can prevent it in the future. Since I am using a backup it caused me some rework. I tried rebooting but that did not do any good and doing a repair was not possible since it asked me for my password. I am particularly puzzled by the fact that the sign on screen does not have the option to skip the online services. Any other ideas? -- Neil "Cal Learner-- MVP" <via_newsgroup@please.tnx> wrote in message news:15o1e3lrpk7nuehitda54qn24f11473fck@4ax.com... > In microsoft.public.money, Neil154ABCD remove ABCD wrote: > >>I am using Money 2008 Home & Business and used it earlier today with no >>problem and closed the application properly.
