| Hello all: I recently aquired 2 new credit cards and added them to my account before I received my first statement so I left the payment due date blank. Now that I have received my first statements from both accounts, I am not able to change the due date under account setup. Do I have to delete both of these accounts and re-create them now that I know the due date? That sounds flaky to me.. Thanks |

| I'm not sure where it is you are talking about this date but it almost certainly is NOT account details. Try going into Bills & Deposits and editing the payment series. | Thanks Dick, Because there isn't an established due date, both these accounts do not show up in Bills & Deposits... Any other ideas? Maybe I should just delete the accounts and re-create? It's only 1 month of date and I can download the data again into Money.. Would there be a problem if I deleted an account and then recreated it using the same names etc??? | Thanks Bob, The debt reduction planner does allow me to set the due date but I really didnt want to add it to my debt plan. 1 card is a 0% card and I will pay off the balance once the 0% runs out. The other card will be paid off each month. I do not have a debt reduction plan anymore since I eliminated my debt recently. I did try adding it to DRP and then removing it to see if the due dates stick. The dates stick under account setup but the accounts do not list in the calender on their respective due dates... All of my other bills and deposits list in my calendar. Very strange One thing I did notice is that all of my other accounts do not allow me to change their due dates either. I wonder why? What if I adjusted my due date with the CC company? How would I be able to change the due date? Very strange. | I'm getting a different picture here. You were adding an account with the wizard. It asked for a due date. You didn't enter one. You want to go back and put the date where the wizard would have put it. The wizard was asking for purposes of creating a scheduled bill payment. You didn't give it a date. It didn't create a scheduled bill payment. Go create one by hand in Bills & Deposits. This is one of the problems with all of the Wizards. They almost always do exactly what can be done without them, if one knows how. They contribute NOTHING to teaching how. But they also don't help do these things out of their own narrow context. | You're probably right. I used the wizard of course and I did not know how to go in and edit that due date.. It is just grey'd out if you go back to "account setup" and select the account to "change that you're already created"... You would think if MS made their wizards "intuitive" enough to automatically setup an entry in Bills & Deposits, that they would also make it work in a way that if you went BACK to Account Setup and modified an exhisting account, it would know to automatically create an entry in Bills & Deposits... Hope you follow me there... Nonetheless, I simply deleted both CC accounts and recreated them with the wizard and entered their due dates... NOW I learned something for future use ![]() Thanks for your help "Dick Watson" <littlegreengecko@mind-enufalready-spring.com> wrote in message news:O58O3P4bEHA.2908@TK2MSFTNGP10.phx.gbl... > I'm getting a different picture here. | Glad you got it sorted out. Thanks for the feedback. Be sure and post back with Qs as your use of Money requires. You might also see the unofficial FAQ at http://umpmfaq.info. | Seems to me that you should have just given an estimated due date in the wizard when you set up the account. You could have then easily have changed the due date in the bill and deposit entry that the wizard made when you got the statement with the correct due date.
