| Recently the 64 bit LONGINT type has been added to the language and its implementation in CM3, which made bootstrapping and compiling the current CM3 sources a bit tricky. Now several installation archives are available for various platforms from http://modula3.elegosoft.com/cm3/download.html This should make installation easier for most (new) users. The current system also contains an up-to-date code generator based on gcc 4.1.1, system / kernel level thread support for various target platforms, improved garbage collection, and debugging support in form of m3gdb working on several platforms. See the ChangeLog at http://modula3.elegosoft.com/cm3/ChangeLog for a complete list of changes or browse the CM3 repository online at http://modula3.elegosoft.com/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/. As this newgroup is rarely used anymore, I'd like to point interested users to the M3 mailing lists, where most of the discussions about the language and its implementation are taking place: http://luthien/wagner/cm3-www/mailing-lists.html I wish all M3 users a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
