CM3IDE

This is a discussion on CM3IDE within the modula forums in Programming Languages category; I noticed this group is pretty dead, but this is the only play I know of to ask. I followed some instructions for installing CM3, and it all went well. Installed cm3-min, then got the latest cvs of CM3, and it all built fine, and then I ran cm3ide, and it asked me what browser I wanted to use, and what editor, and then it just doesn't do anything, so I Ctrl-C'd it and retried, and it still just sits there. Default CM3IDE

I noticed this group is pretty dead, but this is the only play I know of
to ask.

I followed some instructions for installing CM3, and it all went well.
Installed cm3-min, then got the latest cvs of CM3, and it all built
fine, and then I ran cm3ide, and it asked me what browser I wanted to
use, and what editor, and then it just doesn't do anything, so I
Ctrl-C'd it and retried, and it still just sits there.

Don't really have an error message or anything, just the output of me
trying to run cm3ide:

martin@thinkpad:~$ cm3ide
CAUTION: BUILD_DIR not defined in cm3.cfg, setting it to TARGET:
LINUXLIBC6
CAUTION: PKG_USE not defined in cm3.cfg, constructed it from cm3.cfg
path as: /usr/local/cm3/pkg
CAUTION: DOC_INSTALL not defined in cm3.cfg, constructed it from
package root as: /usr/local/cm3/doc
Recovering user state from /home/martin/proj/CM3_IDE.cfg1
<Hangs>

Any ideas?

It seems that it cannot start your browser (wrong path?). Try to
start the browser manually and connect to http://localhost:3800/.
3800 is the default port. You can also edit
/home/martin/proj/CM3_IDE.cfg1 and see what the problem in
"start_browser" may be.

Discussions now take place mostly on the mailing lists, but I think
you've already found them ;-)
