| 1. What is CPRS? 2. What language is it written in? 3. Is it the only way to access Vista with a GUI interface? 4. Does Vista exist with MUMPS roll-and-scroll and the GUI interface is CPRS, a separate program? 5. Which options in Vista can be used with a GUI interface? 6. Where are the best directions for installing CPRS? Is it self-contained (requiring only fundamental knowledge of computers)? 7. Do I have to know Windows internals to install CPRS? 8. What am I doing here and how do I get out? C-B |

| Answer to #8: http://www.hardhats.org/ http://www.mail-archive.com/hardhats...urceforge.net/ I believe that the current version of CPRS is written in Delphi. ~Peter Charlie-Boo wrote: > 1. How about 4-7 (below)? I installed Vista under Windows Cache using a CACHE.DAT file. Do I now have the CPRS programs? Where do I get them? No. In fact the Delphi library portion on which CPRS was built is not something that I would expect to find in the public domain. The engine was not developed using taxpayer dollars. >> > 4. CPRS in a client-server application. The server side is an interface broker written in MUMPS. The client side in written in Delphi. The client can connect to any VistA server. >> > 5. Which options in Vista can be used with a GUI interface? Most of those directly related to patient care such as orders and medical records, iow, the applications used by doctors and nurses. >> > 6. Not really, but it doesn't hurt. >> > 8. What am I doing here and how do I get out? You are here because you have no clearer vision of where you should be. What resources are at your disposal? |
