When the little company from Redmond started to use the term DHCP for its own purposes, our hard-hatted colleagues changed the name of their procuct to VistA, so now that the folks from VistA are going to use the name VistA, the Hardhats will have to look for a new name. Just to start the discussion on that topic: how about CHCS-3 ? | How about hardhats renaming it to "NotMSVista". Preface all new products with "NotMS". I doubt that Redmond will ever have a product that starts with "NotMS"..... ![]() -- Thank you, Mike MInor Z-Code Systems, Inc, mminor@zcodesystems.com Phone: 407-656-4990 Fax: 407-656-5785 "Ed de Moel" <demoel@jacquardsystems.com> wrote in message news:4564A8A5.90301@jacquardsystems.com... > Rod Dorman wrote: >> So who gets to sue in the confusion between HardHats Vista and the >> Vista that little company out in Redmond Washington is coming out >> with? >> > I guess we'll see history repeat itself. > > When the little company from Redmond started to use the term DHCP > for its own purposes, our hard-hatted colleagues changed the name > of their procuct to VistA, so now that the folks from VistA are > going to use the name VistA, the Hardhats will have to look for a > new name. > > Just to start the discussion on that topic: how about CHCS-3 ? > > Ed > > -- > ************************************************** ************ > This electronic mail transmission contains confidential and/or > privileged information intended only for the person(s) named. > Any use, distribution, copying or disclosure by another person > is strictly prohibited. > ************************************************** ************ |

| How about "Aw Hell, Let's Try Again" (AHLTA)? Then again, if the folks in Redmond ever stooped to using Google they would know what's already in use ... |

However, the first one mentioned was the one you quote. Heck though. Oh, and the logo is altered to say "HALTA". CHCS III - Time to start making new T-shirts. Back to the Future? |

| I understand that the VA has trademarked VistA, but it does not show up on the trademark search at http://www.uspto.gov. Microsoft has trademarked "Windows Vista" (serial numbers 78676714 and 78676707). There are many prior trademarks of Vista, and it is unlikely that Microsoft could lay claim to the name. -- Bhaskar ks dot bhaskar at fnf dot com <-- send e-mail here On Nov 22, 1:58 pm, r...@panix.com (Rod Dorman) wrote: > So who gets to sue in the confusion between HardHats Vista and the > Vista that little company out in Redmond Washington is coming out > with? > > -- > -- Rod -- > rodd(at)polylogics(dot)com |
